PROVISION CARES FOUNDATION (PCF) IS COMMITTED TO SERVING EAST TENNESSEE THROUGH EXCELLENCE IN CANCER EDUCATION, WELLNESS, RESEARCH, AND ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS FOR CANCER PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. FAMILIES WERE TOUCHED BY OUR PROGRAMS AND SERVICES IN 2021. TO ATTEMPT TO ELIMINATE GAPS IN SERVICES, PCF COLLABORATES WITH OTHER REGIONAL NON-PROFITS TO MAXIMIZE RESOURCES SO PATIENTS CAN FOCUS ON THEIR HEALTH. SOME SPECIFIC PCF OBJECTIVES IMPLEMENTED TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF THE REGION INCLUDE THE CARING PLATE WHICH PROVIDED 5,400 NUTRITIOUS MEALS FOR PATIENTS UNDERGOING CANCER TREATMENT AND/OR THEIR FAMILIES IN 2021. MORE THAN 125 FAMILIES WERE TOUCHED BY OUR PROGRAMS AND SERVICES IN 2021. TO ATTEMPT TO ELIMINATE GAPS IN SERVICES, PCF COLLABORATES WITH OTHER REGIONAL NON-PROFITS TO MAXIMIZE RESOURCES SO PATIENTS CAN FOCUS ON THEIR HEALTH. SOME SPECIFIC PCF OBJECTIVES IMPLEMENTED TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF THE REGION INCLUDE THE CARING PLATE WHICH PROVIDED 6,900 NUTRITIOUS MEALSFOR PATIENTS UNDERGOING CANCER TREATMENT AND/OR THEIR FAMILIES IN 2021. PROGRAM RECIPIENTS WERE FROM MORE THAN 17 DIFFERENT EAST TENNESSEE CITIES AND WERE REFERRED BY 6 DIFFERENT HEALTHCAREPROVIDERS.
OUR PATIENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE HAS PROVIDED MORE THAN 140 GRANTS TO SUPPORT CANCER PATIENTS NEEDING HELP WITH HOUSING, TRANSPORTATION, UTILITIES OR OTHER NEEDS SINCE ITS INCEPTION. THE CARING PLATE PROVIDED CHRISTMAS GIFT CARDS TO 6 FAMILIES WHO WERE FIGHTING CANCER IN 2021.
