THE INSTITUTE FOR DEMOCRATIC EDUCATION IN AMERICA (IDEA) SUPPORTS EDUCATIONAL CHANGE MAKERS TO LEARN TOGETHER AND GAIN NEW IDEAS THROUGH THE USE OF EVENTS, LEARNING CALLS, CLASSES, AND OTHER LEARNING EXPERIENCES. IN 2020-2021 IDEA LED SEVERAL CYCLES OF ONLINE-BASED ANTIRACISM COURSES FOR EDUCATORS, INCLUDING A 6-SESSION SUMMER SERIES WITH 30 STUDENTS ACROSS 3 COHORTS AND A 12- SESSION FALL AND SPRING SERIES THAT INCLUDED 3 COHORTS AND 27 STUDENTS, FOR A TOTAL OF 57 STUDENTS ACROSS 6 COHORTS.

IN 2020-2021 IDEA CONTINUED WORKING ALONGSIDE LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL PARTNERS TO KEEP PUBLIC EDUCATION AS A PUBLIC GOOD FOR THE COMMUNITY OF JACKSON.
