OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE A KEY ROLE IN ADVANCING SELF-DIRECTED SUPPORTS IN WISCONSIN. WE PROVIDE A FRAMEWORK TO BRING TOGETHER EXISTING GOOD PRACTICES, TO INTRODUCE NEW WAYS OF WORKING AND TO SUPPORT EVERYONE INVOLVED IN MEETING THE CHALLENGES.

THE 2021 SELF-DETERMINATION CONFERENCE WAS HELD CELEBRATING THE EFFORTS OF INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, ADVOCATES AND SERVICE PROVIDERS TO PROMOTE THE SELF-DETERMINATION THROUGHOUT WISCONSIN. MANY PEOPLE FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE ATTENDED AND FOCUSED ON WORKING TOGETHER, PLANNING AND USING TEAMWORK.
WE WORK WITH THE WISCONSIN BOARD FOR PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES TO PROVIDE EDUCATION AND OUTREACH THAT WILL ADVANCE SELF-DIRECTED SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN WISCONSIN'S LONG-TERM CARE SYSTEM. WE DEVELOP TRAININGS, STRATEGIES, AND RESOURCES ON INDIVIDUALIZING SERVICES FOR PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.
