THE PURPOSE OF THIS NON-PROFIT CHARITABLE CORPORATION IS TO SECURE AND DISTRIBUTE CONTRIBUTIONS FROM INDIVIDUALS, ESTATES, GOVERNMENT, CORPORATIONS, FOUNDATIONS AND ANY OTHER SOURCE FOR THE EDUCATIONAL BENEFIT OF THE BETHEL SCHOOL DISTRICT. AN ANNUAL DISTRICT WIDE CLASSROOM AND SCHOOL GRANT PROGRAM AWARDS CLASSROOM TEACHERS AND STAFF FUNDING TO ENRICH EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS, AND DELIVER INNOVATIVE AND EXEMPLARY INSTRUCTION.

Part 3

TO RECEIVE GRANTS, TEACHERS SUBMIT AN APPLICATION. THE GRANT REVIEW COMMITTEE AWARDS GRANTS BASED ON HOW WELL A PROJECT BROADENS A STUDENT'S EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE, SUPPORTS INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES, HELPS THE GREATEST NUMBER OF STUDENTS, AND EXPANDS EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES.


KITS FEDERAL GRANT FUNDS ARE PASSED THROUGH TO SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO SUPPORT PRE-KINDERGARTEN EDUCATION PROGRAMS. FUNDS WERE PASSED THROUGH TO THREE SCHOOL DISTRICTS DURING THE YEAR.


SCHOOL SPECIFIC FUNDS THAT ARE DIRECTED TO A PARTICULAR SCHOOL ARE TRANSFERRED TO THAT SCHOOL'S SITE FUNDS FOR DISTRIBUTIONS BY THE PRINCIPAL.
