TO PRESERVE AND INTERPRET THE HOME AND STUDIOS OF THOMAS COLE. TO ENGAGE BROAD AUDIENCES THROUGH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS THAT ARE RELEVANT TODAY, INCLUDING GUIDED TOURS, OUTDOOR EDUCATION, LECTURES, EXHIBITIONS, EVENTS, PUBLICATIONS, AUDIO AND VIDEO PRESENTATIONS, AND INNOVATIVE ONLINE PROGRAMS.

THE THOMAS COLE HISTORIC HOUSE OPERATES YEAR ROUND WITH EVENTS AND PROGRAMMING IN PERSON AND ONLINE. THE HISTORIC INTERIORS AND PERMANENT EXHIBITIONS WERE OPEN FROM JUNE THROUGH DECEMBER 2021. THE THOMAS COLE HISTORIC HOUSE ORGANIZED THE TRAVELLING LOAN EXHIBITION, "CROSS POLLINATION: HEADE, COLE, CHURCH AND OUR CONTEMPORARY MOMENT," TOGETHER WITH LEADING SCHOLARS FROM NATIONAL MUSEUMS. THE SPECIAL EXHIBITION WAS PRESENTED AT THE THOMAS COLE HISTORIC HOUSE FROM JUNE 12 TO OCTOBER 31, 2021. THE THOMAS COLE HOUSE HOSTED APPROXIMATELY 15,000 IN-PERSON VISITORS, 223 STUDENTS FOR VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON SCHOOL PROGRAMS, AND 105,000 USERS ACROSS ITS FOUR FREE EDUCATIONAL WEBSITES: THOMASCOLE.ORG, EXPLORETHOMASCOLE.ORG, HUDSONRIVERSCHOOL.ORG AND HUDSONRIVERSKYWALK.ORG. THE SITE HOSTED FOUR RESEARCH FELLOWS FOR A HYBRID VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON COLE FELLOWSHIP, A RESEARCH AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR RECENT COLLEGE GRADUATES. LECTURES, ARTIST TALKS, AND PUBLIC PROGRAMS WERE HOSTED YEAR ROUND, IN PERSON AND ONLINE. ALL OF THE ONLINE PROGRAMMING AND VIRTUAL EVENTS WERE MADE AVAILABLE FOR FREE.
