PRESENTED OR CO-PRESENTED 8 PROGRAMS FOR THE PUBLIC INCLUDING JUNETEENTH EVENTS, CONTEMPORARY PEACE AND JUSTICE PANEL, HISTORIC INTERPRETIVE PROGRAMS WITH LYNNE MCKENNEY LYDICK AND AKWAABA, RESTORATIVE JUSTICE FORUM, LECTURE ON EMILY HOWLAND AT HE WOMEN'S HALL OF FAME AND OTHERS. PROGRAMS WERE FREE OF CHARGE AND IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE WAS 1000+ ALL PROGRAMS WERE ROFESSIONALLY VIDEOTAPED AND EDITED AND ARE AVAILABLE ON THE 1816 FQMM WEBSITE: HTTPS://FARMINGTONMEETINGHOUSE.ORG/EVENT-COVERAGE/


NATURE TRAIL. WITH INSPIRATION FROM BOARD MEMBERS CAROL-ELAINE DEYS AND DAVE BRUINIX, WE LARGELY COMPLETED WORK ON A NATURE TRAIL THROUGH THE WOODS BEHIND OUR MEETINGHOUSE. IN 2022, WE ADDED INTERPRETIVE SIGNS WITH ORIGINAL WORDS FROM HISTORIC FIGURES ASSOCIATED WITH THE 1816 MEETINGHOUSE, INCLUDING PEOPLE OF NATIVE, AFRICAN, AND EUROPEAN DESCENT. QUOTES WERE CHOSEN WITH SIGNIFICANT COMMUNITY INPUT IN THE SELECTION PROCESS.


SENECA LETTERS. WE CONTINUED A PROJECT TO TRANSCRIBE MANUSCRIPTS FROM SWARTHMORE COLLEGE AND THE UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER RELATING TO SENECA AND QUAKERS IN THE 1830S AND 1840S. IN 1838, THE U.S. GOVERNMENT RELATING TO SENECA AND QUAKERS IN THE 1830S IN 1838, THE U.S. GOVERNMENT TRIED TO MOVE ALL HAUDENOSAUNEE PEOPLE FROM THEIR HISTORIC HOMELANDS TO WHAT IS NOW KANSAS. FARMINGTON QUAKERS WERE AN IMPORTANT FORCE IS HELPING THE SENECA RETAIN THEIR HOMELAND, AS THESE LETTERS DOCUMENT.
