THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL RELIEF TO CANCER PATIENTS AND TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT THE LIFE-SAVING BENEFITS OF EARLY CANCER SCREENINGS.

OUR MAIN FOCUS AT NEEDS BEYOND MEDICINE, THE RELIEF PROGRAM, ADDRESSES PATIENTS LIVING COSTS IN SUPPORT OF THEIR TREATMENTS. IN 2022, THROUGH OUR DONORS WE WERE ABLE TO EASE FINANCIAL BURDEN AND STRESS TO 171 PEOPLE WHO ARE FIGHTING THROUGH ONE OF THE HARDEST BATTLES. THE INDIVIDUALS WE SERVE REPRESENT A DIVERSE CROSS-SECTION OF OUR UTAH COMMUNITY. OF THE GRANTS AWARDED IN 2022, 114 OF RECIPIENTS REPORTED AN INCOME LEVEL BELOW 35,000. WE CONTINUE TO HAVE STRONG WORKING PARTNERSHIPS WITH MANY UTAH HOSPITALS, CLINICS, AND CANCER CARE PROGRAMS. IN 2022, WE ALSO INCREASED OUR SPONSORED HEALTH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF 22 INTERNS AT SOUTHERN UTAH UNIVERSITY, UTAH VALLEY UNIVERSITY, BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY, UNIVERSITY OF UTAH AND WEBER STATE UNIVERSITY. THESE STUDENTS WERE EXCELLENT AMBASSADORS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, CREATING AND UPDATING EDUCATIONAL HANDOUTS, AND SUPPORTING LOCAL EVENTS FOR NEEDS BEYOND MEDICINE PROGRAMS.
