EL CENTRO DE IGUALDAD Y DERECHOS IS A GRASS ROOTS, LATINO IMMIGRANT LED ORGANIZATION BASED IN CENTRAL NEW MEXICO THAT WORKS WITH LATINO IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES AND ALLIES TO DEFEND, STRENGTHEN, AND ADVANCE THE RIGHTS OF OUR COMMUNITY. WE ENVISION A CITY, STATE AND NATION WHERE IMMIGRANTS CAN BECOME A COLLECTIVE, CONSCIOUS, FREE AND POWERFUL FORCE DEDICATED TO THE PROMOTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS.

EL CENTRO DE IGUALDAD Y DERECHOS IS A GRASSROOTS, IMMIGRANTS' RIGHTS AND WORKERS' JUSTICE ORGANIZATION BASED IN ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO, WITH OVER 5,500 MEMBERS, COMPRISED MAINLY OF LOW-WAGE IMMIGRANT WORKERS. EL CENTRO UTILIZES MULTIPLE STRATEGIES TO IMPACT SYSTEMIC CHANGE AND GROW THE POWER OF IMMIGRANT FAMILIES AND LOW-WAGE WORKER: GRASSROOTS ORGANIZING, INFORMATION CAMPAIGNS, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, POLICY ADVOCACY, VOTER ENGAGEMENT, AND STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS. EL CENTRO'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE: 1. WORKING TOWARDS A MORE INCLUSIVE ECONOMY THROUGH MINIMUM WAGE INCREASES, TAX REFORM, AND PANDEMIC RELIEF, 2.
