FOUNDED IN 2008, THE MISSION OF THE ALL-STAR ORCHESTRA ( THE ORGANIZATION) IS TO MAKE ACCESSIBLE, FOR FREE, THE JOY AND UNDERSTANDING OF CLASSICAL MUSIC TO THE WIDEST POSSIBLE AUDIENCE THROUGH PUBLIC TELEVISION AND THE WORLD'S LARGEST EDUCATIONAL WEBSITE: THE KHAN ACADEMY. TO ACHIEVE THIS THE ORGANIZATION PRODUCES, FILMS, AND RECORDS CLASSICAL AND CONTEMPORARY ORCHESTRAL MASTERPIECES IN A CONCERT HALL, WITH THE RESULTING PROGRAMS TO BE BROADCAST OVER LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERACTIVE PUBLIC MEDIA. THE PROGRAMS INCLUDE A STRONG EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT AND ARE INSPIRING NEW DIRECTIONS FOR MUSIC EDUCATION ( 6 MILLION MUSIC STUDENTS REACHED VIA KHAN ACADEMY), ENTERTAINMENT, AND HIGH-LEVEL ARTISTIC EXPOSURE FOR A BROAD AND DIVERSE AUDIENCE. ASO PUBLIC TV ACCOMPLISHMENTS NATIONAL BROADCASTS OF FIVE SEASONS,21 PROGRAMS ON PUBLIC TELEVISION SINCE 2013, WINNING SEVEN EMMY AWARDS AND THE ASCAP BROADCASTING EXCELLENCE AWARD. SEASON FOUR: "ALL-STAR BAND MASTERPIECES"-RECORDED IN 2017 IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNITED STATES MARINE BAND-PREMIERED IN NOVEMBER,2018, AND IS CURRENTLY IN NATIONAL BROADCAST ROTATION.
