WORK WITH CITY OF BOWIE TO BUILD AND SUPPORT AN ANIMAL SHELTER FOR CITY AND CITY RESIDENTS.
WORK WITH CITY OF BOWIE TO BUILD AND SUPPORT AN ANIMAL SHELTER FOR CITY AND
DISTRIBUTE PET FOOD AND SUPPLIES TO NEEDY FAMILIES IN THE BOWIE AREA IN CONJUCTION WITH THE BOWIE FOOD PANTRY. WE ALSO HELPED WITH THE MEDICATIONS AND LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTER. THIS IS CALLED THE PET ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT PROJECT. IT IS TO HELP FAMILIES WHO WOULD OTHERWISE HAVE TO SURRENDER THEIR PET DUE TO UNFORSEEN FINANCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES. WE DO A SCREENING PROCESS WITH THE HELP OF THE BOWIE FOOD PANTRY AND ONCE THE FAMILY IS APPROVED THEY RECEIVE HELP FOR 3 MONTHS AFTER WHICH TIME THEY ARE WELCOME TO REAPPLY FOR ASSISTANCE. AREA STORES HAVE BEEN GENEROUS IN HELPING WITH CONTRIBUTIONS OF FOOD AND LITTER. WE ALSO HAVE SCHOOL CHILDREN COLLECTION FOOD AND WE HAVE PLACED BINS THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY AT VARIOUS STORES AND OTHER LOCATIONS.
SUPPORT PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER BY PROVIDING BEDS TOYS AND VOLUNTEER SUPPORT.
