THE RIVERWORKS THRIFTSTORE OPENED IN JANUARY 2012 AT THE ROCKFORD MALL LOCATED AT 8900 WLANUT DRIVE. IN MARCH OF 2017 THE STORE RELOCATED TO THE GREENFIELD MALL AT 7955 HIGHWAY 55. THE STORE SELLS CLOTHING, FURNITURE, KITCHEN AND HOUSEWARES, TOYS, BOOKS AND MORE. ALL PRODUCTS ARE PRICED REASONABLY AND AT TIMES GIVEN FREE TO FAMILIES WHO HAVE A NEED. ALL PROCEEDS GO BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH CURRENT RIVERWORKS PROGRAMS. THE STORE HAS ONE FULL-TIME AND SEVEN PART-TIME EMPLOYEES.
FOOD SHELF OPENED IN MARCH OF 2010 AT 8230 CEDAR STREET, ROCKFORD, MN. IN 2021 - 2022 THE FOOD SHELF DISTRIBUTED 134,375 POUNDS OF FOOD TO 1,155 HOUSEHOLDS. THE FOODSHELF HAS ONE FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE.
COMMUNITY BUILDING EVENTS AND PROGRAMS INCLUDE THOUSAND HEARTS CROW RIVER SERVE, LUNCH BOX EXPRESS, GOOD EATS BY RIVERWORKS, GOLDEN NEIGHBORS LUNCH CLUB, CROW RIVER CHRISTMAS & NATIONAL NIGHT OUT.
