ULTRASOUNDS - WE OFFER FREE AND LIMITED ABDOMINAL AND TRANSVAGINAL ULTRASOUNDS. A REGISTERED NURSE AND AN ULTRASOUND TECHNICIAN PERFORM THE SCANS UP TO 14 WEEKS FOR OUR CLIENTS. THIS IS A WAY TO INTRODUCE THE MOTHER TO HER BABY, HEAR THE HEARTBEAT AND MAKE SURE THE GROWING FETUS IS HEALTHY. THIS YEAR WE PERFORMED 144 ULTRASOUNDS
EARN WHILE YOU LEARN AND BABY BOUTIQUE: WE OFFER FREE PRENATAL AND PARENTING CLASSES ON OVER 150 TOPICS FOR MEN AND WOMEN ON WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN PREGNANT AND HOW TO BE A GOOD PARENT. AFTER A CLIENT PARTICIPATES IN A ONE ON ONE CLASS WITH A TRAINED PEER COUNSELOR THEY EARN TWO VOUCHES TO TAKE SHOPPOING IN OUR BABY BOUTIQUE. CLIENTS CAN COME IN WEEKLY, MOTHLY OR WHENEVER WORKS FOR THEM. WE HAVE MANY ITEMS IN THE BOUTIQUE THAT THEY CAN "SHOP FOR" INCLUDING NEW CRIBS, MATTERESSES AND CAR SEATS, CLOTHING UP TO SIZE 2, DIAPERS, AND OTHER BABY NECESSITIES. THIS YEAR THERE WERE 338 VISITS TO THE BOUTIQUE BY OUR CLIENTS. THERE WERE 1,133 CLIENT VISITS TO OUR CENTER FOR ALL OF OUR SERVICES AND 912 SESSIONS FOR THE EARN WHILE YOU LEARN PROGRAM
PREGNANCY AND SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE TESTING: WE OFFER FREE URINE AND BLOOD PREGNANCY TESTING AND STD TESTING. A TRAINED PEER COUNSELOR, STAFF OR NURSE PERFORMS THIS SERVICE FOR OUR CLIENTS. WE ALSO PROVIDE FACTS ON ABORTION, ADOPTION, PARENTING AND SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES SO THAT OUR CLIENTS CAN MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS FOR HER PREGNANCY AND RELATIONSHIPS. THIS YEAR 165 PREGNANCY TESTS AND 21 STD TESTS WERE PROVIDED.
