EVICTION MEDIATION (TOTAL OF FEDERAL EVICTION HELP IL AND STATE EVICTION HELP IL): EVICTION MEDIATION PROGRAMS: DRI ADMINISTERS EVICTION MEDIATION PROGRAMS IN THREE JUDICIAL CIRCUITS IN ILLINOIS. THESE INCLUDE THE FIRST JUDICIAL CIRCUIT, THE SIXTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT, AND THE TWENTIETH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT. THIS MEDIATION PROGRAM PROVIDES FREE MEDIATION SERVICES TO LANDLORDS AND TENANTS IN EVICTION CASES. PARTIES MAY AGREE TO ATTEND MEDIATION OR MAY BE ORDERED TO MEDIATION BY THE PRESIDING JUDGE. THE MEDIATION ALLOWS THE PARTIES TO DISCUSS THEIR CASE AND NEGOTIATE HOW THEY WANT TO MOVE FORWARD. THIS PROGRAM ALSO MANAGES A MEDIATOR PAYMENT SYSTEM TO PAY EVICTION CONTRACT MEDIATORS THROUGHOUT THE STATE. THIS PROGRAM IS MADE POSSIBLE BY THE ILLINOIS EQUAL JUSTICE FOUNDATION.
ST. CLAIR COUNTY FORECLOSURE MEDIATION PROGRAM (TOTAL ST. CLAIR COUNTRY FORECLOSURE): DRI ADMINISTERS THE ST. CLAIR MANDATORY MEDIATION PROGRAM ON BEHALF OF THE ST. CLAIR COUNTY CHIEF JUDGE'S OFFICE. THIS MANDATORY MEDIATION PROGRAM PROVIDES FORECLOSURE EDUCATION AND MEDIATION SERVICES TO HOMEOWNERS IN FORECLOSURE AND THEIR LENDERS. EVERY HOMEOWNER IN ST. CLAIR COUNTY HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WITH PROGRAM STAFF TO LEARN ABOUT THE FORECLOSURE PROCESS, AND IF THEY MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE LOCAL RULE, THEY HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SIT DOWN WITH THE LENDER/SERVICER AND THEIR ATTORNEY TO DISCUSS WHAT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE TO THEM.
