EMPOWER ADULTS-IN 2021, WE CONTINUED TO PROMOTE OUR ADULT EDUCATION,TRAININGS,AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS. ADULT PROGRAMS INCLUDE TRAINING,PREVENTION APPROACH WORKSHOP; BOTH WITH A CALL TO ACTION TO PROMOTE AND IMPLEMENT THE EMPOWER YOUTH PROGRAM AT THE LOCAL LEVEL. IN RESPONSE TO THE NATIONAL RESTRICTUIONS,IEMPATHIZE WORKED TO DEVELOP A NEW VIRTUAL ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAM, THE INTERSECT RESPONSE PLATFORM. THE PLATFORM (SET TO LAUNCH BEGINNING OF 2021) IS A VICTIM-CENTERED AND EMPATHETIC APPROACH USING AN IMMERSIVE ONLINE AND IN-PERSON TRAINING LIBRARY TO EQUIP ADULT PARTICIPANTS. IRP WILL PROVIDE TOOLS TO SAFELY RECOGNIZE AND RESPOND TO EXPXLOITATION - ACTIVELY IDENTIFYING WHERE EXPLOITATION IS HAPPENING, WHEN IT'S HAPPENING. IRP SEEKS TO HELP INDIVIDUALS IDENTIFY THEIR UNIQUE INTERSECTION WITH EXPLOITATION IN THEIR STRATEGIC SECTOR. WITHIN THE BETA TESTING AND DEVELOPMENT OF IRP, IEMPATHSIZED TRAINED OVER 3,000 ADULTS IN THE MULTI-FAMILY LIVING SECTOR.
EMPOWER YOUTH PROGRAM: IN RESPONSE TO THE 2020 PANDEMIC, IEMPATHIZE MOVED THE EMPOWER YOUTH PROGRAM TO AN ONLINE, VIRTUAL PLATFORM, ENABLING EDUCATORS AND YOUTH SERVING SPACES TO STILL DELIVER THE PREVENTION EDUCATION CURRICULUM VIRTUALLY TO OVER 900 YOUTH. IEMPATHIZE CONTINUED THEIR COMMITMENT TO EQUIPPING YOUNG PEOPLE TO STAY SAFE AND EQUIPPING YOUTH-SERVING PROFESSIONALS TO WORK WITH YOUTH PREVENTATIVELY TO EFFECTIVELY RECOGNIZE AND RESPOND TO SIGNS OF EXPLOITATION. OUR EMPOWER YOUTH ALREADY WORKING WITH YOUTH TO FACILITATE CONVERSATIONS ABOUT EXPLOITATION, EMPOWERING YOUTH WITH PROTECTIVE STRATEGIES. YOUTH MUST BE EMPOWERED TO NAVIGATE THE FACTORS IN THEIR LIVES THAT COULD OTHERWISE MAKE THEM VULNERABLE TO EXPLOITATION. SINCE 2015, EYP HAS BEEN ORDERED FOR USE FOR MORE THAN 33,000 YOUTH IN 25 DIFFERENT STATES. THROUGH OUR SPONSORSHIP-SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, WE GRANTED SCHOLARSHIPS TO MORE THAN 87% OF THE YOUTH-SERVING ORGANIZATIONS.
OUTREACH: IEMPATHIZE PARTNERED WITH COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, BUSINESSES AND UNIVERSTIES TO ENGAGE PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES, INCLUDING HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS, STUDENTS, AFTERCARE PROGRAMS, BUSINESS OWNERS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, COMMUNITY MEMBERS, NON-PROFITS, AND SURVIVOR LEADERS THE APATHY EFFECT EXHIBIT IS A MULTI-MEDIA EXHIBIT AND EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM GEARED TO IGNITE EMPATHY, EDUCATE, AND EMPOWER PARTICIPANTS WITH A RESPONSE TO ISSUES OF EXPLOITATION. THE APATHY EFFECT EXHIBIT IMMERSES YOU IN STORIES OF RESILIENT YOUNG SURVIVORS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING AROUND THE WORLD. THE MULTIMEDIA JOURNEY IS TOLD THROUGH ORIGINAL FILM, PHOTOGRAPHY, AND ARTIFACTS WITH SELF-GUIDED OR INTERACTIVE TOURS ADDING TO THE EXPERIENCE.
