THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FINANCIAL EDUCATION AND ASSISTANCE FOR HOUSING FOR EMPLOYEES OF CULINARY UNION LOCAL 226, THE BARTENDERS LOCAL 165, AND NUMEROUS PROMINENT HOTELS IN THE LAS VEGAS AREA.

FIRST TIME HOME BUYER DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: THE CULINARY AND BARTENDERS HOUSING PARTNERSHIP PROVIDES ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS WITH A LOAN OF UP TO 20,000 TO USE FOR A DOWN PAYMENT FOR A HOME. THE DOWN PAYMENT LOAN IS A ZERO PERCENT INTEREST LOAN, WHICH MUST BE REPAID UPON SALE, TRANSFER OR REFINANCE OF THE PROPERTY. THE PARTICIPANT MUST RESIDE IN THE HOME AS A PRIMARY RESIDENCE. A TOTAL OF 462,975 IN LOANS WERE CLOSED IN THE YEAR ENDING 12/31/23.
HOMEBUYER EDUCATION AND COUNSELING PROGRAM: THE CULINARY AND BARTENDERS HOUSING PARTNERSHIP OFFERS HOMEBUYER EDUCATION AND COUSELING. THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO CREATE INFORMED, EDUCATED AND RESPONSIBLE HOMEBUYERS. APPROXIMATELY 930 PARTICIPANTS RECEIVED HOMEBUYER EDUCATION AND 260 PARTICIPANTS RECEIVED ONE-ON-ONE HOMEBUYER FINANCIAL COUNSELING.
