GRANT MAKING: THE GOAL OF OUR GRANT MAKING PROGRAM IS TO FUND PROJECTS THAT APPLY WHOLE SYSTEMS THINKING AND SCIENTIFIC UNDERSTANDING TO ADDRESS CRITICAL ISSUES OF SUSTAINABILITY AND RESILIENCE IN THE PUGET SOUND REGION. THE FUNDED PROJECTS ADDRESSED A BROAD RANGE OF ISSUES, INCLUDING WATER QUALITY, SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE, AND FOREST RESTORATION. OUR GRANTS ARE AWARDED THROUGH A COMPETITIVE RFP PROCESS WHERE PROPOSALS ARE REVIEWED BY STAFF AND MEMBERS OF OUR IMPACT CIRCLE. THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS ARE THEN SENT TO THE BOARD FOR ADDITIONAL REVIEW AND FINAL DECISION.
