TABLE GRACE MINISTRY: TO FOSTER A HEALTHY COMMUNITY BY OFFERING GREAT FOOD PREPARED AND SERVED IN A GRACEFUL MANNER TO ANYONE WHO WALKS THROUGH THE DOOR.
THE MISSION OF THE CAFE IS "NOURISHING HUNGRY BODIES AND SOULS". THERE ARE NO PRICES AT THE CAFE. PATRONS MAY MAKE A FREE WILL DONATION OF MONEY, LABOR, FOOD, TALENT, OR ANY DONATION WHICH CONTRIBUTES TO THE CONTINUATION OF FEEDING THE HUNGRY. IN 2021, 9,077 MEALS WERE SERVED AT THE TABLE GRACE CAFE. THE CAFE ALSO FACILITATES A TEN-DAY TRAINING PROGRAM IN RESTAURANT WORK FOR PEOPLE SEARCHING FOR A JOB IN THIS INDUSTRY. THIS GIVES PEOPLE WORK EXPERIENCE AND IN RETURN THE CAFE WILL PROVIDE RESUME ASSISTANCE, A LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION AND JOB SEARCH ASSISTANCE. IN 2021, THERE WERE 14 APPLICANTS TO THE JOB EXPERIENCE PROGRAM, 7 PARTICIPANTS, AND 1 GRADUATE.
FOOD TRUCK: AFTER REACHING CAPACITY FOR SERVICES AND PROGRAMMING IN THE CAFE, TABLE GRACE UNVEILED THE MOBILE GRACE CAFE IN 2018. THE FOOD TRUCK HOLDS THE SAME SPIRIRT OF EQUITY, GATHERING, AND NOURISHMENT FOR PATRONS WHILE ALSO ALLOWING FOR MUCH-NEEDED EXPANSION OF THE JOB EXPERIENCE PROGRAM, MISSION, AND MUSIC OUTREACH. IN 2021, MOBILE GRACE FOOD TRUCK SERVED AT OVER 99 EVENTS ACROSS THE STATE OF NEBRASKA AND SERVED OVER 5,510 MEALS.
