THE STATE OPIOID RESPONSE (SOR) GRANT AIMS TO ADDRESS THE OPIOID CRISIS BY SUPPORTING EVIDENCE-BASED PREVENTION, TREATMENT AND RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES TO ADDRESS OPIOID USE DISORDER (OUD) AND OTHER SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS (SUD). FAMILIES AGAINST NARCOTICS (FAN) HELPS INDIVIDUALS SEEKING TO REDUCE THEIR DEPENDENCY ON SUCH SUBSTANCES TO FIND VIABLE TREATMENT OPTIONS, AS WELL AS PROVIDES PEER RECOVERY COACHES AND SOBER LIVING SCHOLARSHIPS. FAN OFFERS EDUCATION TO THE PUBLIC (INCLUDING STUDENTS, PARENTS, FIRST RESPONDERS, DOCTORS AND OTHERS) ABOUT THE DANGERS OF OUD / SUD AND TO HELP REDUCE THE ATTACHED STIGMA.
