RITES OF PASSAGE: 20/20 VISION WAS A LIVE INSTALLATION-PERFORMANCE HONORING THE LIVES OF WOMEN OF COLOR IN AMERICA THAT TOOK PLACE IN AUGUST 2021. FOLLOWING THE EVENT, THERE WAS A "WALK-THROUGH FILM" OF THE PRODUCTION WHICH PREMIERED FIRST ONLINE IN OCTOBER, AND THEN AT THE KENNEDY CENTER IN D.C. IN NOVEMBER 2021. NSPAC'S SUPPORT AS FISCAL SPONSOR ALLOWED THE RITES OF PASSAGE PROJECT TO RAISE THE FNDS NEEDED FOR THE LARGE-SCALE EVENT IN ORDER TO PAY FOR RENTALS, MATERIALS, PAY THE ARTISTS AND PRODUCTION TEAM, DOCUMENT THE PRODUCTION, AND SUPPORT POST-PRODUCTION PROJECTS OVER THE COMING YEARS.
