RIVERS OF RECOVERY REPRESENTS A PRO-ACTIVE INTERVENTION. OUR GOAL IS TO ACHIEVE LASTING, POSITIVE CHANGES IN THE LIVES OF DISABLED VETERANS EXPERIENCING PTSD, TBI, AND OTHER CHALLENGES, AND THEIR FAMILIES AND THE FAMILIES OF FALLEN SOLDIERS, AT NO COST TO THE PARTICIPANTS. THIS IS DONE BY HELPING OUR PARTICIPANTS: - REDISCOVER A MEANINGFUL PURPOSE IN LIFE. - RECONNECT WITH THEMSELVES, THEIR FAMILIES, FELLOW VETERANS AND NATURE. - REBUILD A SENSE OF EMPOWERMENT, SELF-ESTEEM AND SELF-CONFIDENCE. - ACHIEVE SUCCESS THROUGH LEARNING AND ACCOMPLISHMENT. - RECOGNIZE THEIR COMPETENCE AND CAPABILITIES.
