WEBSITE, PODCAST & ONLINE COMMUNICATIONS IN 2021, BIOLOGOS FURTHER CEMENTED ITSELF AS A LEADING RESOURCE AT THE INTERSECTION OF FAITH AND SCIENCE, REACHING 2.5 MILLION READERS ON OUR WEBSITE WITH TOPICS RANGING FROM CLIMATE CHANGE TO ORIGINS, WHILE CONTINUING TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON THE PANDEMIC. THAT REACH TRANSLATED INTO HIGH ENGAGEMENT, AS WE DELIVERED OVER 1 MILLION TOTAL EMAILS, CONTINUED TO REACH NEW AUDIENCES WITH SIGNIFICANT GROWTH ON INSTAGRAM, AND DROVE A RECORD NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS TO A FULLY VIRTUAL CREATION CARE EVENT. OUR PODCAST, LANGUAGE OF GOD, PUT OUT 34 NEW EPISODES DURING 2021 AND RECEIVED MORE THAN 400 THOUSAND DOWNLOADS.
CONFERENCE & EVENTS IN 2021, WE HELD OUR CREATION CARE SUMMIT, A FULL-DAY CONFERENCE BRINGING TOGETHER 9 LOCAL AND NATIONAL SPEAKERS TO EXPLORE CHRISTIAN RESPONSES TO ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES. SPEAKERS INCLUDED SCIENTISTS, DEVELOPMENT WORKERS, THEOLOGIANS, AND MORE. WITH AN ONLINE AUDIENCE GIVEN THE LINGERING PANDEMIC, WE WERE PLEASED TO WELCOME OVER 500 PARTICIPANTS. WHAT HAD BEEN INTENDED TO BE PUBLIC EVENTS RELATED TO OUR HUMAN IDENTITY PROJECT BECAME A SIGNIFICANT PODCAST SERIES CALLED UNIQUELY UNIQUE.
CURRICULUM IN 2021, WE CONTINUED TO DEVELOP THE INTEGRATE CURRICULUM AND RELEASED 5 NEW UNITS FOR A TOTAL OF 10 UNITS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE. JON HILL, PROFESSOR OF SOCIOLOGY AT CALVIN UNIVERSITY, COMPLETED A SMALL STUDY OF THE EFFICACY OF THE CURRICULUM WITH SOME ENCOURAGING RESULTS. THE BIBLE STUDY AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TEAMS EACH HELD MULTI-DAY WORKSHOPS TO BEGIN DEVELOPING THEIR RESPECTIVE PROJECTS. INTEGRATE HOSTED AN EXHIBIT BOOTH AT THE CHRISTIAN EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION ANNUAL CONFERENCE WHERE WE RECEIVED A LOT OF INTEREST FROM TEACHERS. FINALLY, THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TEAM RAN THEIR FIRST WORKSHOP FOR THE FACULTY OF TRINITY SCHOOL OF DURHAM AND CHAPEL HILL.
