PROVIDING FINANCING AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES FOR SMALL BUSINESSESS AND ENTREPRENEURS IN THE SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA.
IN AUGUST OF 2020, THE CITY OF STAUNTON, VIRGINIA EXPERIENCED EXTREME FLASH FLOODING THAT RESULTED IN SEVERE PROPERTY DAMAGE TO SEVERAL SMALL BUSINESSES LOCATED IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA. IN RESPONSE, SCCF PROMPTLY INITIATED A PUBIC CAMPAIGN TO RAISE DISASTER RELIEF FUNDS FOR DISTRIBUTION TO SMALL BUSINESSES OWNERS IMPACTED BY THE FLOODING. THIS MUCH NEEDED ASSISTANCE ALLOWED SMALL BUSINESSES TO FULFILL VARIOUS NEEDS INCLUDING PROPERTY REPAIRS, EQUIPMENT AND FIXTURES REPLACMENT, INVENTORY REPLACEMENT, AND VARIOUS OTHER NEEDS ESSENTIAL FOR THE SMALL BUSINESSES TO RESUME OPERATIONS.
