PRESERVATION: THE GOVERNORS RESIDENCE PRESERVATION FUND WAS FOUNDED IN 2008 TO LEAD THE CONTINUED PRESERVATION AND STEWARDSHIP OF COLORADOS HOME. OUR GOAL IS TO PRESERVE THE GOVERNORS RESIDENCE AT THE BOETTCHER MANSION AS A SPLENDID SHOWCASE OF THE STATES CULTURAL AND CIVIC HERITAGE AND AS A PLACE FOR THE PEOPLE OF COLORADO TO VISIT AND ENJOY. WHILE THIS HISTORIC HOME, THE BOETTCHER COLLECTION AND ITS OTHER ASSETS ARE OWNED BY THE STATE OF COLORADO, THE ORGANIZATION SERVES AS A CONDUIT IN THAT IT PLAYS A ROLE IN FUNDRAISING FOR AND MANAGING TO COMPLETION THOSE SPECIFIC RESTORATION AND PRESERVATION PROJECTS WHERE IT CAN MATCH NEEDED WORK WITH WILLING DONORS.
EDUCATION AND CIVIC LEARNING: THE GOVERNORS RESIDENCE IS IN A UNIQUE AND CENTRAL POSITION TO SHARE COLORADO HISTORY, HIGHLIGHT THE HERITAGE OF COLORADO PEOPLES, SHOWCASE COLORADO CULTURE, AND PROVIDE LESSONS IN HISTORY, LEADERSHIP AND CIVICS. WE SERVE MORE THAN 3,000 STUDENTS EVERY YEAR.
CULTURAL HERITAGE: THE GOVERNORS RESIDENCE SERVES AS AN EXQUISITE VENUE TO SHOWCASE PERFORMANCES FROM THE BEST OF COLORADOS CULTURAL SCENE AND AS A DELIGHTFUL BACKDROP FOR HIGHLIGHTING THE UNIQUE AND DIVERSE CULTURAL HERITAGE REPRESENTED THROUGHOUT THE STATE.
