NCTR'S MISSION IS TO DISRUPT HISTORIC EDUCATIONAL INEQUITIES BY ADVANCING THE TEACHER RESIDENCY MOVEMENT TO PREPARE EFFECTIVE, DIVERSE, CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE EDUCATORS. NCTR PURSUES THIS MISSION BY PROVIDING SUPPORT, CONSULTING, AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO NEW AND EXISTING RESIDENCY PROGRAMS NATIONWIDE AND BY CONDUCTING RESEARCH ON TEACHER RECRUITMENT, PREPARATION, AND RETENTION.
