THE MISSION OF GIVE A LITTLE IS TO PROVIDE MONETARY ASSISTANCE TO PERSONS IN YAMHILL COUNTY WHO ARE EXPERIENCING ADVERSITY OR CRISIS AS WELL AS TO ALLEVIATE HARDSHIPS AND ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF THOSE ON VERY LIMITED BUDGETS.

INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILIES IN CRISIS - ONE TIME MONETARY ASSISTANCE IS GIVEN TO THOSE IN DESPERATE SITUATIONS DURING TIMES OF CRISIS. FUNDS ARE GIVEN TO HELP WITH EMERGENCY HOUSING UTILITIES CAR REPAIRS INSURANCE AND OTHER CRISIS SITUATION NEEDS. LOCAL COMMUNITY SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS ACCEPT AND REVIEW THE INITIAL APPLICATIONS AND THESE REFERRAL PARTNERS ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE PROCESS OF FUND DISBURSEMENT. THE MAJORITY OF FUNDS RECEIVED ARE UNDESIGNATED AND APPLIED TO ALL PROGRAMS AS NEEDED.
SENIOR CITIZENS OUTREACH - A SEVERE NEED FOR INCREASED SERVICES TO OUR LOCAL SENIOR CITIZENS COMMUNITY HAS BEEN THE DIRECT EFFECT OF THE FALLOUT OF THE PANDEMIC. NEEDS WERE MEET FOR CRITICAL AID WITH FANS DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS RADIOS MAGNIFYING LAMPS GIFT CARDS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS TO THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER TO HELP KEEP THEM UP TO DATE AND IN CONTACT WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. APPLICATIONS FOR AID ARE RECEIVED DIRECTLY AND WITH THE SUPPORT OF COMMUNITY REFERRAL AGENCIES.
SCHOOL STUDENTS - PROVIDES A WELL ESTABLISHED PROGRAM OF IDENTIFYING AND MEETING THE NEEDS OF STUDENTS OF ALL AGES IN THE LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT. COORDINATION BETWEEN THE ORGANIZATIONS LIAISONS SCHOOL OFFICIALS AND TEACHERS ENABLES THE STUDENTS WHO HAVE DESPERATE NEEDS TO RECEIVE THE SPECIFIC NECESSITIES THAT THEY ARE MISSING INCLUDING CLOTHING SHOES OUTWEAR SCHOOL SUPPLIES COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND ANY OTHER ITEMS THAT ARE APPRECIATED TO HELP THE STUDENTS HAVE A COMFORTABLE AND DIGNIFIED SCHOOL EXPERIENCE. A COMMUNITY COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP IS OFFERED TO A DESERVING STUDENT CHOSEN ON AN ANNUAL BASIS.
