THE FOUNDATION'S SOLE PROGRAM SERVICE IS TO SUPPORT AND DEVELOP GOLF IN THE KANSAS CITY REGION. EACH YEAR, THE FOUNDATION ORGANIZES THE WATSON CHALLENGE GOLF TOURNAMENT. IN 2022, DONATIONS FROM THE TOURNAMENT TOTALED $197,448 IN SPONSORSHIPS, TICKET SALES AND ENTRY FEES. AFTER PAYING ASSOCIATED TOURNAMENT/FUNDRAISING EXPENSE, THE FOUNDATION ROUTINELY MAKES GRANTS TO FURTHER IT'S MISSION, TO THE JUNIOR GOLF FOUNDATION OF GREATER KANSAS CITY, INC. D.B.A "THE FIRST TEE OF GREATER KANSAS CITY," A LOCAL 501(C)3 NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO MAKING GOLF MORE ACCESSIBLE AND AFFORDABLE TO BOYS AND GIRLS IN THE GREATER KANSAS CITY AREA.
