PROJECT DESTINY, INC. IS A SAFE PLACE FOR INNER CITY YOUTH TO GROW, PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT, EXPERIENCE POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS, LEARN, GAIN A POSITIVE SELF IMAGE AND IMPROVE THEIR CHILDHOOD. PROJECT DESTINY, INC. SERVES APPROXIMATELY 800 INNER CITY YOUTH, AGES 10-18 THROUGH THEIR COLLEGE YEARS ON AN ANNUAL BASIS IN VARIOUS PROGRAMS. THESE PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH AND FAMILY INCLUDE AFTER SCHOOL, SUMMER CAMP, FAMILY COUNSELING AND BUILD PROGRAM THROUGH THE ALLEGHENY COUNTY INUA PROGRAM, MENTORING, MARRIAGE COUNSELING, CLUBS, RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES, YOUNG WOMEN'S SELF CONFIDENCE PROGRAM AND EMERGENCY FOOD/SHELTER/COUNSELING ASSISTANCE FOR THE COMMUNITY.
