THE WOMEN'S COMMITTEE OF THE CARNEGIE MUSEUM OF ART IS ORGANIZED TO PROMOTE THE CARNEGIE MUSEUM OF ART AND ITS CULTURAL & EDUCATIONAL USEFULNESS TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH VARIOUS COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS, INCLUDING INCLUDING AN EVENT TO BENEFIT SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS AND CHILDREN. IN ADDITION, THE COMMITTEE DONATES FUNDS TO THE CARNEGIE INSTITUTE MUSEUM OF ART TO ALLOW THE MUSEUM TO PURCHASE SPECIFIC ARTWORK FOR DISPLAY IN THE MUSEUM.
