THE HAMPTON COMMUNITY LIBRARY (HCL) PROVIDES A LIFELONG GROWTH AND ENRICHMENT TO INDIVIDUALS THROUGH DYNAMIC LEARNING EXPERIENCES AND ACCESS TO VARIOUS INFORMATIONAL RESOURCES.

HCL PROVIDES A WELL-ROUNDED COLLECTION OF ADULT FICTION AND NON-FICTION, YOUTH AND CHILDREN'S BOOKS, PERIODICALS, VARIOUS REFERENCE MATERIALS, AUDIO BOOKS AND DIGITAL VIDEO DISCS FOR FREE USAGE BY THE PUBLIC. DURING 2023, THERE WERE 36,862 VISITS TO THE LIBRARY AND 155,447 MATERIALS WERE CIRCULATED.


HCL PROVIDES VARIOUS ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS FOR THE RESIDENTS OF HAMPTON TOWNSHIP. THESE INCLUDE A SUMMER READING PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN, A WEEKLY CHILDREN'S STORY HOUR AND NUMEROUS PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR TEENAGERS AND ADULTS. DURING 2023, 1,070 CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS PARTICIPATED IN THE SUMMER READING PROGRAM. 164 CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS WERE PRESENTED WITH A TOTAL ATTENDANCE OF 4,434 AND 94 ADULT PROGRAMS WERE PRESENTED WITH A TOTAL ATTENDANCE OF 1,393.


HCL PROVIDES FOUR (4) COMPUTERS FOR PUBLIC USAGE, INCLUDING FREE INTERNET ACCESS. DURING 2023, THERE WERE 1,073 USES OF THESE COMPUTERS.
