DISSEMINATION OF SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION THROUGH ANNUAL CONFERENCES, JOURNALS AND THE ORGANIZATION'S WEBSITE.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE: ISEE HOLDS AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE EACH YEAR IN NORTH AMERICA OROTHER COUNTRIES TO PROVIDE ACCESS FOR THE INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIP. THE SOCIETYENTERTAINS PROPOSALS PERIODICALLY FROM MEMBERS TO ORGANIZE AND HOST THE ANNUALCONFERENCE. THE WINNING PROPOSALS ARE SELECTED BY PEER REVIEW AND THE SOCIETYPROVIDES OVERSIGHT TO THE ORGANIZERS/HOSTS DURING THE PLANNING PERIOD. THE ANNUALCONFERENCE BRINGS TOGETHER SCIENTISTS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD TO EXCHANGE IDEAS ANDMETHODS FOR RESEARCH IN ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND EPIDEMIOLOGY. IT PROVIDES A FORUMFOR COMMUNICATION, CURRENT EPIDEMIOLOGIC RESEARCH, FACILITIES, INTERNATIONALCOLLABORATION IN RESEARCH AND TRAINING, AND HIGHLIGHTS EMERGING GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTALHEALTH ISSUES.THE CONFERENCE PROGRAM EACH YEAR INCLUDES PRESENTATION OF AWARDS RECOGNIZING BOTHEXPERIENCED ENVIRONMENTAL EPIDEMIOLOGISTS WHO HAVE MADE SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TOTHE KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL EPIDEMIOLOGY AND PROMISING NEWRESEARCHERS IN ENVIRONMENTAL EPIDEMIOLOGY. THESE AWARDS ARE BENEFICIAL TO THE FIELDOF ENVIRONMENTAL EPIDEMIOLOGY BECAUSE THEY RECOGNIZE EXCELLENCE IN SCIENTIFICPRACTICE IN THE FIELD.


OFFICIAL JOURNAL: THE OFFICIAL JOURNAL OF THE SOCIETY IS ENVIRONMENTAL EPIDEMIOLOGY. ENVIRONMENTAL EPIDEMIOLOGY IS AN OPEN ACCESS JOURNAL, AND ISEE MEMBERS RECEIVE A DISCOUNT ON PUBLISHING CHARGES IN THE JOURNAL. ISEE RECEIVES SEVERAL COMPED COMMENTARIES PER YEAR IN THE PUBLICATION THE JOURNAL FACILITATES COMMUNICATION OF PEER-REVIEWED SCIENCE AMONG PRACTITIONERS IN THE FIELD. THE JOURNAL IS OWNED BY WOLTERS KLUWER HEALTH, INC. AND IS PROVIDED TO SOCIETY MEMBERS AND IDENTIFIED AS THE SOCIETYS OFFICIAL JOURNAL BY WRITTEN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SOCIETY AND WOLTERS KLUWER.
