DOMESTIC VIOLENCEDURING THE FISCAL YEAR 2022 THE ORGANIZATION ASSISTED 891 CLIENTS WITH THE ISSUE OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.EMERGENCY SHELTER WAS PROVIDED FOR OVER 168 ADULTS AND 100 CHILDREN FOR 7,481 NIGHTS. THESE ADULTS AND THEIR CHILDREN WERE VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE WHO WERE PROVIDED WITH SHELTER, SAFETY PLANS, INFORMATION, AND REFERRALS ALONG WITH OTHER AGENCY SERVICES INCLUDING COUNSELING, GROUPS, AND COURT ACCOMPANIMENT. INFORMATION AND REFERRALS INCLUDE HELPING THE CLIENT TO OBTAIN SUCH THINGS AS: SAFE AFFORDABLE HOUSING, CHILDCARE, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, ETC ALONG WITH CONTINUING TO FOCUS ON THEIR SAFETY. ALL CLIENTS ARE OFFERED USE OF OUR 24 HOUR HOTLINE.COURT ADVOCACY WAS PROVIDED FOR ANY CLIENT NEEDING HELP THROUGH THE COURT SYSTEM. WE PROVIDE ALL COURT ACCOMPANIMENTS FOR CLIENTS AS WELL AS A SAFE PLACE AT THE COURT HOUSE, SHIELDING FROM THE MEDIA, AND A PRESENCE AT HEARINGS, SENTENCING, ETC. WE HAVE STAFF ON CALL 24 HOURS A DAY FOR HOSPITAL ACCOMPANIMENT. INDIVIDUAL, GROUP, AND PSYCHO EDUCATIONAL COUNSELING IS PROVIDED TO ALL VICTIMS AND SIGNIFICANT OTHERS. APPROXIMATELY 2,400 HOURS WERE SPENT COUNSELING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CLIENTS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR.
SEXUAL ASSAULT VICTIM ASSISTANCEDURING FISCAL YEAR 2022, WE SAW OVER 202 CLIENTS DEALING WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT, INCLUDING VICTIMS AND SIGNIFICANT OTHERS. COUNSELING SERVICES ARE OFFERED TO ALL CLIENTS WHO HAVE REACHED US THROUGH OUR 24 HOUR HOTLINE AS WELL AS THOSE THROUGH REFERRALS. WE HAVE HELD INDIVIDUAL, GROUP, AND PSYCHO EDUCATIONAL COUNSELING. THE COUNSELING DEPARTMENT NOT ONLY PROVIDES SERVICES AT OUR LOCATION BUT IS MOBILE FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THE CLIENT, INCLUDING COUNSELING CHILDREN IN SCHOOLS CONFIDENTIALLY. THERE HAS ALSO BEEN COLLABORATION WITH THE FAITH BASED COMMUNITY TO BRING AWARENESS TO RURAL COMMUNITIES AND SET THE GROUND WORK FOR OFFSITE COUNSELING AREAS. THE ADVOCACY DEPARTMENT PROVIDES COURT ACCOMPANIMENTS FOR CLIENTS AS WELL AS A SAFE PLACE AT THE COURT HOUSE AND A PRESENCE AT HEARINGS, SENTENCING, ETC. WE HAVE STAFF ON CALL 24 HOURS A DAY TO MEET VICTIMS AT THE HOSPITAL.
