ASSOCIATION'S PURPOSE IS TO INITIATE AND/OR SUPPORT PROJECTS THAT MAKE A SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE BOROUGHS AND TOWNSHIPS THAT REPRESENT THE FOX CHAPEL AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT. GENERALLY THIS INCLUDES BEAUTIFICATION OF THE AREA BY PLANTING FLOWERS AND TREES IN BARREN AREAS, MAINTENANCE OF ATHLETIC FIELDS, SUPPORT FOR LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENTS, IMPROVEMENTS TO THE LOCAL LIBRARY, COMMUNITY CENTER, AND PARKS. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO PROVIDES SUPPORT TO OTHER CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS SERVING THE AREA. FUNDS ARE RAISED PRIMARILY FROM DUES, CONTRIBUTIONS AND OTHER FUND RAISING EVENTS WHICH ARE DONE ON A PERIODIC BASIS.
