THE LIBRARY PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL, INFORMATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL MATERIALS AND PROGRAMS, AND SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE FIVE MUNICIPALITIES THAT COMPRISE THE MERCER AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT AND RESIDENTS OF THE SURROUNDING AREAS. LIBRARY CARDS ARE FREE TO ANY RESIDENT OF THE FIVE MUNICIPALITIES. NON-RESIDENTS OF THESE MUNICIPALITIES ARE CHARGED A $20 FEE PER YEAR PER FAMILY. THE LIBRARY PROVIDES A VARIETY OF SERVICES AS A COMMUNITY LIBRARY, SUCH AS CHILDREN'S AND YOUTH PROGRAMS, ADULT PROGRAMS, AND USED BOOK SALES. THESE SERVICES ARE IN ADDITION TO THE BASIC LIBRARY SERVICES OF PROVIDING ITS COLLECTION OF BOOKS, PERIODICALS AND INTERNET SERVICES TO THE LIBRARY'S PATRONS.
