THE TITUSVILLE YMCA, AS A CAUSE DRIVEN ORGANIZATION, RESPONDS TO MEETING THE CRITICAL NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY BY OFFERING A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS AND SERVICES FOCUSING ON YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, HEALTHY LIVING, AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. THE Y IS MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON SERVING NOT ONLY ITS MEMBERS, BUT ALSO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE. THE YMCA IS OPEN TO ALL WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IS EXTENDED TO EVERYONE. IN THE AREA OF YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, WE PROVIDED PROGRAMS AND SERVICES THAT INCLUDE: SWIM LESSONS, EDUCATIONAL ENRICHMENT, AND A VARIETY OF SPORT, OUTDOOR AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAM CHOICES, HOME SCHOOL PHYSICAL EDUCATION, FAMILY NIGHTS, NUTRITION THROUGH GOVERNMENT FOOD PROGRAMS (CACFP AND SFSP), VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES, SERVICE LEARNING PROJECTS, PRE-K SCHOOL READINESS, AND ANNUAL SPECIAL EVENTS. FOR HEALTHY LIVING, THE Y IS COMMITTED TO IMPROVING AMERICA'S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING. WE BRING FAMILIES CLOSER TOGETHER, ENCOURAGE GOOD HEALTH AND FOSTER CONNECTIONS THROUGH FITNESS, CHRONIC DISEASE PREVENTION, SPORTS, SOCIAL, RECREATION, FUN, AND SHARED INTERESTS. AS A RESULT, OVER 3000 PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY ARE RECEIVING THE SUPPORT, GUIDANCE, AND RESOURCES THEY NEED TO ACHIEVE GREATER HEALTH. THIS IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT AS OUR NATION STRUGGLES WITH CHRONIC DISEASE AND OBESITY, FAMILIES WRESTLE WITH WORK/LIFE BALANCE AND INDIVIDUALS SEARCH FOR PERSONAL FULFILLMENT. IN 2021, WE PROVIDED OVER $500,000 IN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO PEOPLE WHO OTHERWISE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PARTICIPATE. IN THE AREA OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, WE PROVIDE A SAFE SOCIAL GATHERING PLACE TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS. WE DONATED TO THE GIVING TREE, HOSTED FREE FAMILY FRIDAYS, HELD BLOOD DRIVES, SENIOR OUTREACH DURING THE PANDEMIC, HELD A "LIGHTS ON" AFTER SCHOOL EVENT, PROVIDED FREE ONLINE EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES FOR PARENTS/FAMILIES, PROVIDED FREE ONLINE RESOURCES FOR HEALTHY LIVING/EXERCISE CHALLENGES/DAILY WORKOUTS, OFFERED CHILDCARE TO ESSENTIAL WORKERS, AND PROVIDED ONLINE SERIES OF SAFETY AROUND WATER VIDEOS. WE CONTINUE TO PARTICIPATE AND PARTNER IN COMMUNITY-WIDE EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES. BY STRENGTHENING OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH OUR THREE FOCUS AREAS: YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, HEALTHY LIVING AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, THE TITUSVILLE YMCA ADHERES TO ITS MISSION OF SERVING THE EVER-CHANGING NEEDS IN THE COMMUNITY SINCE 1912.
OUR YMCA IS COMMITTED TO NURTURING THE POTENTIAL OF EVERY CHILD AND TEEN. WE BELIEVE ALL KIDS HAVE GREAT POTENTIAL AND DESERVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DISCOVER WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY CAN ACHIEVE. THE TITUSVILLE YMCA HAS HAD A RICH HISTORY IN AFTER SCHOOL AND SUMMER ENRICHMENT. YEAR AFTER YEAR, MEASURABLE OUTCOMES ARE ACHIEVED IN THE AREAS OF EDUCATION, TECHNOLOGY, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL GROWTH, AND NUTRITION. FUNDING STREAMS HAVE REMAINED CONSISTENT FOR AFTER SCHOOL AND SUMMER PROGRAMMING AT THE TITUSVILLE YMCA FOR CHILDREN IN GRADES K-5 AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE 21ST CCLC AFTER SCHOOL AND SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAM TARGETS AT-RISK YOUTH, BUT IS OPEN TO ALL CHILDREN WHO WISH TO PARTAKE IN THE VARIETY OF ENRICHMENT COMPONENTS OFFERED.
