THE CHAMBER HAS EXISTED SINCE 1974 IN ORDER TO PROMOTE AND ATTRACT NEW INDUSTRY TO THE SMITH COUNTY AREA. THEIR WORK HAS BROUGHT SIGNIFICANT INCREASES IN REAL ESTATE VALUES,SALES TAX COLLECTIONS, AND PER CAPITA INCOME.
SINCE MAY OF 2004 SMITH COUNTY HAS PROVIDED OFFICE SPACE TO THE CHAMBER. THE FAIR MARKET RENTAL VALUE IS ESTIMATED TO BE $900.00 PER MONTH.
