THE MISSION OF THE PALMYRA SPORTSMEN'S ASSOCIATION IS TO PROVIDE ACTIVITIES THAT PROVIDES TRAINING AND EDUCATION FOR OUR MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS, IN THE SHOOTING AND FISHING SPORTS. OUR PARTICIPANTS ARE JUNIORS AND ADULTS IN ALL DISCIPLINES OF THE SHOOTING SPORTS. WE SPECIFICALLY CONDUCT HUNTER - TRAPPER EDUCATION, CIVILIAN MARKSMANSHIP PROGRAMS, YOUTH PROGRAMS FOR SMALL-BORE RIFLE & AIR RIFLE, DAISY BB GUN, JUNIOR OLYMPIC ARCHERY, YOUTH EDUCATIONAL ARCHERY, AND YOUTH TRAPSHOOTING THROUGH TDAP (TRAPSHOOTING DEVELOPMENT ASSN. OF PA). APPROXIMATELY 500 YOUTH. WE ALSO HAVE AN ANNUAL FAMILY FIELD DAY WITH AN ATTENDANCE OF 1,000 PEOPLE FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES PARTICIPATING IN MANY SHOOTING ACTIVITIES AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. WE ARE ALSO A USA NORTH EAST REGIONAL JUNIOR TRAINING CENTER FOR SMALL-BORE & AIR RIFLE. WE PROVIDE AN EXCLUSIVE RANGE FOR LOCAL BOROUGH AND TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENTS TO TRAIN AND QUALIFY SO THEY CAN MAINTAIN THEIR EMPLOYMENT AND PROVIDE THEIR COMMUNITIES WITH THE

FIELD DAY - PUBLIC WAS EDUCATED BY PARTICIPATE IN TRAP SHOOTING, FLY FISHING DEMONSTRATION, FLY TYING INSTRUCTION, ARCHERY INSTRUCTION, DEMONSTRATION ON THE RIFLE RANGE, PISTOL RANGE AND SMALL BORE RANGE. YOUTH PROGRAMS ARE DEMONSTRATED AND YOUTH (PUBLIC) ARE ENCOURAGE TO SIGN UP FOR PROGRAMS. YOUTH PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO BE AT NO COST TO THE YOUTH PARTICIPANTS. APPROXIMATELY 1000 PEOPLE BENEFIT FROM THIS EVENT.
YOUTH PROGRAMS: SMALL BORE, AIR RIFLE, B-B GUN, JUNIOR OLYMPIC ARCHERY DEVELOPMENT (J.O.A.D.), YOUTH EDUCATIONAL ARCHERY PROGRAM, YOUTH TRAPSHOOTING PROGRAM (ASSOCIATED WITH T.D.A.P.), YOUTH AIR PISTOL PROGRAM. PSA PROVIDES ALL OF THE FOLLOWING FOR ALL THE YOUTH PROGRAMS: EQUIPMENT, INSTRUCTION, SUPPLIES (CONSUMABLES), TRAVEL EXPENSES (IF NEEDED), AND FACILITIES. IN THE SMALL BORE PROGRAM PSA HOSTS THE NCAA COLLEGE MATCHES WHICH ARE THE LARGEST IN THE COUNTRY. THE AIRRIFLE PROGRAM AND SMALL BORE ARE FOR YOUTH FROM 12 TO 18 YEARS OF AGE. PSA FACILITY IS DESIGNED THE USA'S NORTHEAST REGIONAL TRAINING FACILITY. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES INSTRUCTION, MARKSMANSHIP, STATE COMPETITION,INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION.
