TO FURTHER WILLOWWIND'S MISSION, IN THE FALL 2019, WE LAUNCHED A NEW PROGRAM/SPECIALS CLASS ENTITLED SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL). SINCE THEN, WE HAVE HIRED A SPECIALS TEACHER FOR THAT SPECIFIC CLASS. SEL IS THE PROCESS THROUGH WHICH CHILDREN UNDERSTAND AND MANAGE EMOTIONS, SET AND ACHIEVE POSITIVE GOALS, FEEL AND SHOW EMPATHY FOR OTHERS, ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS, AND MAKE RESPONSIBLE DECISIONS.
