PRESENTATION OF FINE CHORAL MUSIC TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC ADHERING TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE IN PERFORMANCE.

THE AMC CONCERTS IN THE 2022-2023 SEASON INCLUDED A FALL CONCERT REFLECTING ON WOMEN IN SONG, CHRISTMAS JOY CONCERT AND A CHORAL CLASSICS CONCERT. AMC SINGERS PERFORMED IN JUNE 2023, WITH 250 SINGERS FROM THE US, SPAIN, PORTUGAL, FRANCE, AUSTRALIA AND THE UK AT LUX ANIMA LONDON 2023 SEASON FINALE CONCERT - LUX ET AMOR. THE CONCERT INCLUDED DAN FORREST'S LUX: THE DAWN FROM ON HIGH AND ELAINE HAGENBERG'S ILLUMINARE.


IN JUNE, 2023, AMC CELEBRATED THEIR 50TH ANNIVERSARY AND THE RETIREMENT OF THEIR DIRECTOR, MR. JORDAN. THE PROGRAM REPRESENTED THE CULMINATION AND CELEBRATION OF HALF A CENTURY OF THE EXTISTENCE OF THE ARLINGTON CIVIC CHORUS/ARLINGTON CHORAL SOCIETY/THE ARLINGTON MASTER CHORALE. THE NUMBERS INCLUDED PIECES COMPOSED BY DAN FORREST, MACK WILBERG, CHICHESTER PSALMS FROM LEONARD BERNSTEIN, AND "BENEDICTUS" BY KARL JENKINS. THERE WAS A SPECIAL NUMBER WRITTEN BY MR. JORDAN'S SON ENTITLED "FATHER'S DEVOTION" - ESPECIALLY FOR THE OCCASION. THE CONCERT CONCLUDED WITH AN ENCORE PERFORMANCE OF TWO PIECES FROM ELAINE HAGENBERG'S WORK, ILLUMINARE, WHICH AMC PERFOMED THE WORLD PREMIERE AT THEIR 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 9/11 CONCERT IN 2021.


AMC CONTINUED THE ANNUAL PRESENTATION OF 2 SCHOLARSHIPS TO UTA MUSIC STUDENTS.
