TO FURTHER THE INTERESTS OF ONSLOW MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN JACKSONVILLE, NC AND IMPROVE THE WELFARE OF ITS PATIENTS AND STAFF THROUGH THE SERVICE OF THE AUXILIARY'S VOLUNTEER MEMBERSHIP.

VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED OVER 22,000 SERVICE HOURS TO THE HOSPITAL AND PERFORMED A VARIETY OF DUTIES INCLUDING PROVIDING WHEELCHAIR AND WALKING ASSISTANCE TO PATIENTS; SUPPLYING PATIENTS WITH READING MATERIALS; ASSISTING HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATORS WITH CLERICAL WORK; AND STAFFING THE VISITORS DESK. FUNDS RAISED BY THE AUXILIARY THROUGH GIFT SHOP SALES AND SALES EVENTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF HOSPITAL STAFF WERE USED TO PROVIDE A CASH DONATION TO THE HOSPITAL AND TO FUND SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS IN THE HEALTHCARE FIELD.
