THE MIDLANDS HOUSING ALLIANCE (MHA) GOAL IS TO TRANSITION CLIENTS FROM HOMELESSNESS TO PERMANENT HOUSING AND SELF-RELIANCE. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING 260 UNITS OF LOW BARRIER EMERGENCY SHELTER AND PROGRAM BEDS, TRANSITIONS OFFERS A DAY CENTER TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE WHO LIVE ON THE STREET TO ENGAGE IN SERVICES AND EVENTUALLY ENTER INTO A HOUSING PROGRAM. THE MIDLANDS HOUSING ALLIANCE (MHA) MISSION IS "ENGAGING AND EQUIPPING HOMELESS ADULTS OF THE MIDLANDS TO TRANSITION INTO STABLE AND PERMANENT HOUSING."

DURING ITS ELEVEN YEARS OF OPERATION, TRANSITIONS SUCCESSFULLY MOVED 3,298 CLIENTS TO PERMANENT HOUSING WITH 11,060 POSITIVE OUTCOMES OFF THE STREETS. IN THE ORGANIZATION'S ELEVENTH YEAR OF OPERATION, TRANSITIONS HELPED 3,139 UNIQUE CLIENTS IN ITS VARIOUS PROGRAMS AND SERVICES. THE ORGANIZATION SERVED 181,984 HEALTHY MEALS AND MOVED 214 CLIENTS INTO SAFE, PERMANENT HOUSING OF THEIR OWN WHILE FACILITATING POSITIVE OUTCOMES FOR 722 INDIVIDUALS. THE APPROACH OF TRANSITIONS IS TO MEET PEOPLE WHERE THEY ARE AND REDUCE BARRIERS TO HOUSING AND SERVICES. THE PROGRAM OFFERS A WIDE RANGE OF TEMPORARY HOUSING AND SERVICES. THE DAY CENTER, SPECIALIZED BEDS, EMERGENCY BEDS, AND PROGRAM BEDS ARE KEY TO OUTREACH AND SERVICES. THE AGENCY ALSO OFFERS ADULT DAYCARE SERVICES FOR CLIENTS AND THE GENERAL POPULATION.
