LEADERSHIP DALLAS CLASS PROJECT IS A SERVICE PROJECT THAT IS ORGANIZED, COORDINATED, FUNDRAISED AND EXECUTED BY THE LEADERSHIP DALLAS COHORT. THE COHORT INCLUDES A RANGE OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE, INCLUDING CONSTRUCTION, FINANCE, LEGAL, AND CONSULTING ACROSS A RANGE OF DIVERSE INDUSTRIES. THIS YEAR THE GROUP RENOVATED, REDESIGNED AND CREATED A SUSTAINABILITY PLAN FOR JUBILEE PARK AND COMMUNITY CENTER'S FOOD PANTRY. JUBILEE IS LOCATED IN A FOOD DESERT, WHERE GROCERY STORES, FARMERS' MARKETS AND HEALTH FOOD PROVIDERS ARE OFTEN MILES AWAY. NOW, JUBILEE HAS A RENOVATED BUILDING WITH GROCERY-STYLE SHELVING, MULTIPLE REFRIGERATORS AND FREEZERS, STORAGE SPACE, AN INTAKE AREA, AND OTHER FEATURES THAT HELP INCREASE FOOD DISTRIBUTION IN THE COMMUNITY.
QUALITY OF LIFE FOUNDATION PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE LEADERSHIP DALLAS CLASS. THE LEADERSHIP DALLAS CLASS IS A LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT CLASS RUN BY THE DALLAS REGIONAL CHAMBER'S LEADERSHIP PROGRAM.
