THE SCARSDALE HISTORICAL SOCIETY (THE "SOCIETY") IS THE STEWARD FOR THE DISCOVERY, PRESERVATION AND EDUCATIONAL DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION ABOUT THE HISTORY OF SCARSDALE AND THE CENTRAL MID-WESTCHESTER REGION. THE SHS IS HELPING TO PRESERVE AND DIGITIZE IMPORTANT HISTORICAL INFORMATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC. THE SOCIETY HAS DIGITIZED MANY OF THE BACK ISSUES OF "THE SCARSDALE INQUIRER" WHICH ARE IN FRAGILE CONDITION AND NEEDED TO BE DIGITIZED IN ORDER TO PRESERVE THESE IMPORTANT SCARSDALE HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS. THE SOCIETY FOSTERS AND DISSEMINATES THAT HISTORICAL INFORMATION THROUGH ITS PUBLICATIONS,EXHIBITIONS AND PROGRAMS.
