OUR MISSION IS TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP A SYSTEM OF HIKING TRAILS IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE ENJOYMENT OF THESE TRAILS, AND TO EDUCATE MEMBERSHIP AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC AS TO THE WISE STEWARDSHIP OF THE TRAILS AND OUTDOOR AREAS. THE ASSOCIATION CONSISTS OF 13 LOCAL CHAPTERS, THE STATE OFFICE, AND AN ASSOCIATE ORGANIZATION THAT HELPS BUILD AND MAINTAIN THE TRAIL SYSTEM.
