PARKS AND RECREATION FOUNDATION OF ARKANSAS IS ORGANIZED TO SUPPORT, PROTECT, ENHANCE AND ADD VALUE TO PLACES THAT PROVIDE EXCEPTIONAL RECREATION EXPERIENCE AND BUILD ON THE LEGACY OF THE CIVILIAN CONSERVATION CORPS BY PROVIDING A CONDUIT AND OPPORTUNITY FOR GIVING BACK AND EXPEDITING DEVELOPMENT FOR TODAY'S GENERATION.

ARKANSAS PARKS & RECREATION FOUNDATION WORKED WITH THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO ESTABLISH THE FIRST PROFESSIONALLY BUILT TRAILS IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AT RIVER MOUNTAIN CITY PARK AND BEGINNER TRAILS AT TWO RIVERS PARK. THE PROJECT INVOLVED CONTRACTING WITH ROCK SOLID TRAIL CONTRACTING TO BUILD 10 MILES OF SOFT SURFACE TRAIL AT RIVER MOUNTAIN AND A MILE BEGINNER TRAIL AS WELL AS A STRIDER/BEGINNER PUMP TRACK. THE PROJECT WAS COMPLETED IN THE SUMMER OF 2021 AND GIFTED TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT.
ARKANSAS PARKS & RECREATION FOUNDATION WAS GRANTED FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE MONUMENT TRAIL AT DEVIL'S DEN. THE FOUNDATION PARTNERED WITH ARKANSAS STATE PARKS TO RECEIVE APPROPRIATE APPROVALS AND EVALUATION OF THE DESIGN AND WORKED WITH ROGUE TRAILS AND ROCK SOLID TRAIL CONTRACTING TO REHABILITATE AND CONSTRUCT 25 MILES. ONGOING WORK INCLUDES CAMPING, PARKING, RESTROOM, AND CHANGING ROOMS.
ARKANSAS PARKS & RECREATION FOUNDATION WAS GRANTED FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE MONUMENT TRAIL AT PINNACLE MOUNTAIN STATE PARK. THE FOUNDATION CONTRACTING APPROXIMATELY 17 MILES OF NEW TRAIL TO BE BUILT AT PINNACLE BY ROGUE TRAILS AND JAGGED AXE TRAIL CONTRACTING. THE TRAILS SUPPORT MULTI-USE AS WELL AS DIRECTIONAL MOUNTAIN BIKE ONLY TRAIL. THE WORK IS ONGOING TO DEVELOP ON ART PROGRAM THAT INTERPRETS THE UNIQUE AND SPECIAL FEATURES AT PINNACLE MOUNTAIN.
