THE PROVIDENCE SINGERS PRESENTED A CONCERT SEASON THAT INCLUDED THREE SELF-PRODUCED CONCERTS AND TWO APPEARANCES AS GUESTS OF THE RHODE ISLAND PHILARMONIC. IN NOVEMBER, THE CHOIR PRESENTED TWO CONCERTS OF BRAHAMS REQUIEM, ONE OF WHICH WAS OFFERED FREE TO THE PUBLIC. THE MARCH CONCERT WAS A 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AND INCLUDED TWO BAROQUE CHORAL MASTERWORKS AND THE WORLD PREMIERE OF A NEW WORK BY COMPOSER JULIAN WACHNER, WHICH THE PROVIDENCE SINGERS COMMISSIONED. THIS CONCERT WAS ACCOMPANIED BY THE PROVIDENCE BAROQUE ORCHESTRA AND INCLUDED PROFESSIONAL SOLOISTS. IN APRIL, THE PROVIDENCE SINGERS PRESENTED A CONCERT OF BROADWAY FAVORITES. THIS CONCERT FEATURED BASS-BARITONE KEVIN DEAS AND GUEST EMCEE JOE WILSON, JR., FROM TRINITY REP.
