THE BRIGHTON MEMORIAL LIBRARY SUPPORTS THE ENTIRE TOWN COMMUNITY, POPULATION OF 36,000 +. IN ADDITION, MANY OTHER MONROE COUNTY LIBRARY PATRONS PREFER THIS LIBRARY. THE LIBRARY IS BRIGHTON'S GATHERING PLACE AND CULTURAL CENTER, PROVIDING INFORMATION ACCESS FOR THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY WHILE PROMOTING LIFELONG LEARNING AND ENRICHMENT FOR ALL TO ENJOY. BRIGHTON MEMORIAL LIBRARY IS COMMITTED TO PRESERVING THE HIGHEST VALUES. THE FRIENDS OF BRIGHTON MEMORIAL LIBRARY SUPPORTS LIBRARY PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS, YOUNG ADULTS, CHILDREN AND SENIORS. WE SPONSOR ARTISTIC AND LITERARY PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS IN MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL, SUCH AS 5X7 DESIGN AND AN ANNUAL LITERARY CONTEST FOR MULTIPLE FORMS OF LITERATURE. WE SUPPORT WELL DEVELOPED AND HEAVILY ATTENDED CHILDREN'S READING PROGRAMS ALL YEAR LONG. WE ALSO SUPPORT MANY DIFFERENT FILM AND MUSIC PROGRAMS, AS WELL AS TECHNICAL AND TRAINING SEMINARS FOR COMPUTER AND INTERNET USAGE. WE ALSO SPONSOR "PARTNERS IN READING FOR SENIORS", A PROGRAM WHICH CONNECTS HOMEBOUND SENIORS WITH LIBRARY SERVICES.
