IN 1895 A GROUP OF WOMEN WHO WERE DESCENDENTS OF REVOLUTIONARY PATRIOTS WERE GRANTED NATIONAL CHARTER 155 BY THE NATIONAL SOCIETY OF THE DAUGHTERS OF THE REVOLUTION AND BECAME RAINIER CHAPTER NSDAR. THEIR MISSION IS TO SUPPORT THE PLATFORM OF THE NSDAR TO PROMOTE HISTORIC PRESERVATION, EDUCATION, AND PATRIOTISM. IN ORDER TO FURTHER OPPORTUNITIES LOCALLY IN SUPPORT OF THIS MISSION, THE MEMBERS OF RAINIER CHAPTER RAISED FUNDS TO PURCHASE PROPERTY AND BUILD THE RAINIER CHAPTER HOUSE, WHICH OPENED IN 1925. SINCE THAT TIME, THE HOUSE HAS BEEN USED FOR EVENTS TO SUPPORT NSDAR GOALS, SERVING AS THE VENUE FOR WEDDINGS, CORPORATE EVENTS, GALAS, AND EDUCATIONAL FORUMS.

THE STEWARDSHIP OF THE CHAPTER MEMBERS HAS MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR OUR CHAPTER TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR LOCAL STUDENTS, AWARDS FOR SEA CADETS, MEETINGS TO HONOR OUR VETERANS, AND RECOGNITION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO PROVIDE NEEDED SERVICES TO THEIR COMMUNITY.
