SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH PROGRAMS. THE UNITED WAY FUNDED SEVEN SEPARATE PROGRAMS WITH PARTNER AGENCIES. THE PROGRAMS WERE FUNDED IN ORDER TO ASSIST EACH CHILD IN WHITLEY COUNTY ACHIEVE THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL. THESE INCLUDED PROGRAMS THAT OFFERED SUPPORT FOR ACADEMIC SUCCESS, ENCOURAGEMENT FOR POSITIVE SELF-ESTEEM, AND TO PROVIDE ADVOCACY FOR THOSE AT RISK. THE UNITED WAY ALSO SUPPORTS A KINDERGARTEN COUNTDOWN PROGRAM TO HELP CHILDREN FROM LOW INCOME FAMILIES PREPARE FOR STARTING SCHOOL.
