BUSINESS SHOWCASE: THE CHAMBER'S BUSINESS SHOWCASE GIVES MEMBERS A VENUE TO SHOWCASE THEIR BUSINESSES TO OTHER CHAMBER MEMBERS AND THE COMMUNITY. HELD EVERY YEAR IN MAY AT THE SOUTHERN MARYLAND HIGHER EDUCATION CENTER IN CALIFORNIA, MARYLAND, THIS EVENT ALLOWS OVER 50 CHAMBER BUSINESSES TO SET UP BOOTHS AND PROMOTE THEIR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES. EVERY YEAR THE ATTENDANCE KEEPS GROWING WITH WELL OVER 500 INDIVIDUALS AND EXHIBITORS VISITING EACH BOOTH.
A TASTE OF ST. MARY'S: THIS ANNUAL EVENT, ESTABLISHED TO PROMOTE THE LOCAL HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY, IS HELD IN THE FALL ON THE SQUARE OF HISTORIC LEONARDTOWN, MARYLAND. ADMISSION AND PARKING ARE FREE. THIS IS A FAMILY EVENT IN WHICH AREA RESTAURANTS AND CATERERS PROVIDE SAMPLES OF THEIR SPECIALTIES. THERE ARE CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES, LIVE ENTERTAINMENT, AND HISTORICAL SITES OPEN TO TOUR. CHAMBER MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO SPONSOR ANY ACTIVITY AND ALL RESTAURANTS AND CATERERS ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE AS VENDORS.
ANNUAL MEETING: EACH JUNE, THE CHAMBER HOSTS ITS ANNUAL MEETING AND DINNER TO WELCOME THE NEW BOARD CHAIR AND THE NEWLY ELECTED BOARD MEMBERS, TO PRESENT VARIOUS AWARDS, AND TO REVIEW THE CHAMBER'S ACHIEVEMENTS THROUGHOUT THE PROGRAM YEAR. THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR MEMBERS TO SEE HOW THE CHAMBER IS WORKING FOR THEM EACH YEAR.
