THE INDUSTRY FUND PROVIDES FUNDING TO SMACNA GREATER CHICAGO, A LOCAL TRADE ASSOCIATION, AND THE NATIONAL INDUSTRY FUND TO PROVIDE ITS MEMBERS A COLLECTIVE VOICE IN MATTERS IN WHICH THE INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS, THE SHEET METAL INDUSTRY, AND THE PUBLIC MAY PROPERLY BENEFIT; TO PROMOTE SOUND LABOR RELATIONS THROUGH LABOR AND MANAGEMENT COOPERATION; TO STUDY AND INSTITIUTE STANDARDS AND PRACTICES IN THE SHETT METAL INDUSTRY.
THE INDUSTRY FUND, IN AN EFFORT TO PROMOTE INDUSTRY SAFETY PRACTICES, PROVIDES DRUG TESTING PROGRAMS AND EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS FOR DISTRIBUTION TO THE CONTRACTORS' EMPLOYEES, SERVING APPROXIMATELY 1900 UNION SHEET METAL WORKERS EMPLOYED BY 223 CONTRACTORS.
